EDIFICIO INVESTIGACION CAMPUS DE MIERES

The Campus of Mieres was created towards the end of the 20th Century in an initiative to reactivate the economy of the mining regions of Asturias. It is specialized in Earth and Environmental Engineering and is emplaced in a building that resembles the derricks of the mines that had been the driving force of the economy of the region.

Thanks to the substantial investment of the funds for the Restructuration of Coal Mining, the University has built an academic complex that provides all the necessary equipment, including a building of scientific-technical services, a university residence hall and a sports center.

Accommodation will be at the Residence Hall in the University Campus and lectures and tutorials will be held in the Research Building, just beside the Residence Hall.
